We've had such marvelous weather the whole time we've been in Paris--quite a contrast with our "spring" weather in the Northwest and in Missoula, where the cold gray days continue with snow and rain. Here there are flowers blooming in the parks, and the chestnut trees lining the boulevards are beginning to shed the husks on their flower buds and should be in full bloom within the next few days. It's April in Paris!
Here are flowering trees and shrubs...

bulbs in pots...
hyacinth bulbs at the base of a statue of Voltaire...
crocus bulbs in a window...
primroses and jonquils...
a bee enjoying the grape hyacinth
jonquils for sale by the bunch....
cut flowers by the Madeline Church...
cut roses in a shop window..
a miniature rose in a pink pail...
a little English sparrow enjoying the spring weather in the gardens of the Place de Vosges...
cut flowers on the rue Cler market street...
So how do the French keep their flowers happy and well-watered?? This little duck watering can must surely be the answer. He would very much like to spread his wings and fly to Montana to water geraniums!
